Sadly, I have to report the death of long term Squadron member Roger Richardson Bunbury. Roger was a great supporter of the Squadron and attended events right up to 2023. He will be missed.

Bob was heavily involved in the world of gliding throughout his life and ran the Squadron's involvement with the Portsmouth Naval Gliding Club. Monday 16th December a number of FAA members attended the Navy Wings Christmas Hangar Party to present a cheque for £500 to this fine organisation working to preserve our naval aviation heritage.

Another excellent dinner was enjoyed at the Abbey Hotel Malvern, preceded as usual by the AGM. Guest speaker was our own (not so ) tame submariner Steve Sykes who regaled us with tales of underwater derring do.

Last Saturday we visited Halfpenny Green Airfield near Wolverhampton.
