19th June 2026 marked the 30th anniversary celebration of the formation of the FAA Squadron. The Sqn's very first fly in was held at Compton Abbas, and appropriately it was to Compton that we returned 30 years on. Where did that time go!
Huge congratulations go to the SP and the 'wheels' for organising a truly excellent event and laying on perfect weather.
Of the original members, Peter Lovegrove, Michael Ryan, Phil Moore and Michael Bonham Cozens, Michael, as long term CO and founding father attended as guest of honour. He was presented with a beautifully crafted hand made vase commemorating the Sqn's 30 year existence.
The vase

The line up of mainly FAA Sqn aircraft outside the restaurant at Compton Abbas.
An epic flying day, (much to the SP's relief), allowed an exceptional 55 people to attend in some 20 aircraft including the Wasp and Chipmunk from Navy Wings.
